For many of us, rather than turning inwards and following our instincts to hibernate through long dark nights, we please and perform, often confronted with the triggers of extended family relations. To offer some support and balance, I have three events before the end of the year which include movement and stillness, silence and sharing, true presence and deeply loving attention. All ways to remain steady yet relaxed, grounded yet open, through these last weeks of the year. I’m also excited to tell you about new yoga, meditation and nature immersion daylong retreats in 2024 - see below.
Silent Meditation Day Retreat
This Saturday November 25th, join us for a day of silence, meditation and celebration of the preciousness of life. During the day, we will interweave meditation practice, teachings on the dharma and q&a. As well as traditional seated meditation, there will be opportunities for nature meditation, walking meditation, interpersonal meditation and simple movement meditation. This is an opportunity to unplug from technology, put down your to-do list, relax any anxious or obsessive fussing, and unconditionally, uninhibitedly be yourself for a day. You will take away some practical suggestions for how to carry this preciousness back into daily life. More info here and register here.
Yoga Workshop
On Saturday December 9th, join us for an afternoon of yoga and meditation with a focus on belonging. You will feel energised and enlivened as you discover how it feels to belong to your body, to the support of community, to the earth below and to the sky above. Week of Daily Meditations
This will be followed by a week of online daily meditations from Monday December 11th - Friday December 15th, 7-8am GMT (or recorded), to support you with whatever might unfold over the holidays for you. You will discover how to embrace challenging emotions with love, safety and gentleness, so that you are no longer so compelled to either suppress them or react from them in ways you later regret. *New* Yoga, Meditation and Nature Immersion Day Retreats in 2024!
I am overjoyed to have found the perfect place to offer day retreats near London where, alongside active yoga, yin yoga and meditation, we can also be fully immersed in exceptional nature - including wild swimming in a secluded woodland lake, a lakeside sauna and walks in ancient woodland! The intention of these days is deep rejuvenation and reconnection: to ourselves, to each other, and to the natural world. The focus is to discover the joy and fulfilment of doing just one thing at any one time: wholeheartedly present with whatever is emerging.
